Water Parameters and Quality:
Keeping the water right is key for Snowball Cherry Shrimp. They like slightly acidic to neutral water, with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5. The temperature should be between 20°C to 25°C, and the water hardness should be moderate. Regular water changes of 20-30% are needed. This keeps nitrate levels low and adds important minerals.
Origins and Natural Habitat:
Snowball Cherry Shrimp come from Taiwan's lush waterways. They are part of a booming shrimp farming and aquaculture scene there. In their natural home, they live in slow-moving streams, rivers, and ponds. They feed on algae, decaying plants, and other organic matter.
Physical Characteristics:
Snowball Cherry Shrimp have striking white or translucent bodies and delicate, feather-like antennae. They are small, growing from 1 to 2 inches long, perfect for smaller tanks. These shrimp are tough and can handle different water conditions and tank setups.
